"Now after spending 14 years on sea of which 10 years as Captain I still enjoy when we leave the harbour or have up anchor and head towards the open see where we set the sails, theses are the best moments in life...
After being a captain on several big sailing ships like Mare Frisium and Tolkien, as well as on commerical feeder container ships, I served as captian in the mega motor yacht Sherakhan during the last 2 years, doing luxury charter in the Caribbean and the Med and I took her 5 times across the Atlantic.
Now I am looking forward to set the sails on the beautiful Kairós towards new destinations."

"I started sailing as a boy of 11 years, when my father bought a little sailing boat... Since this very moment it was clear to me that I wanted to become a captain on sailing vessels".
Following his dream and after being a sailing instructor in Hamburg, he finally studied nautic at the famous Dutch "Zeevaartschool" in Enkhuizen. Since then he is serving as first mate or captain on several Dutch sailing vesselns like Zephyr, Adornate and Thalassa for more than 12 years. On top of that he started a career as a ahips carpenter restoring the magnificent 12m (type classical America's Cup Yacht) Heti in Hamburg / Germany. Private interests: Photography, modern art, watersports, soccer.

Engineer an S/Y KAIRÓS since the very beginning 2007. Most familiar to KAIRÓS, nickname 'Super Mario' as he manages to repair nearly everything. Very experienced sailing and steering and on all works on and below deck.
Bosun/2nd Engineer Adriaan Kleyn

"I started to live on boars when my father, being a captain by himself, bought a little yacht in Richard Bay South Africa. Later I got into racing regattas and once survived an 80kn storm...
Since 2008 I am crew on Kairós, i like her outstanding sailing performance even being a comfortable cruiser yacht, the nice guests and the atmosphere on board."
He is the bord seaman and cannot imaging to live ashore. As a bosun Adriaan is not only responsible for the rig and the sails, and is frequently but also for the dinghy transfers and the guests who want to help sailing. He also does and teaches the Kite Surfing, Wakeboarding and Tuberiding behind our fast dinghy... Being an always friendly and smiling person Adriaan is beloved by all the guests. His nichname on board is "Simba" the lion king, due to his blond hair and enormous appetite. The only problem about him is when he is supposed to go ashore, cause he doesn't like that and claims not to posses any shoes or boots, for him it is very hard to use even flip-flops!

His interest in cooking already started as a child, while his grandmother had a hotel. After more that twenty years od running his own gourmet restaureant in Germany he first served as a chef on board of a ship in 2009, when he sailed on the Dutch barkentine Mercedes. BEside his love to Mediterranean and Asian food, he is famous for his home made soups... His private interests are: Cinema, music and nature, especially wildlife and animals.

"After T studied tourism and hotel management, I planned to work on one of the big cruise ships. But than there was the opportunity to have a job on Kairos which fits perfect for me, cause I love sailing and can now combine myn profession and organise with my passion". Stephanie did severak apprenticeships in hotels and restaureant during her studies. She started to leard sailing when her parents bought a boat... Private interests: Travel, sports, dance, cinema and women boxing.

"I came on board of Kairos because my sousin Mario recommended me being the chefcook on this beautiful vesel for more that two years. I loved being here from the very first moment." After her school Krizstina got educated in service and tourism in Györ/Hungary. Spending the winter in South Africa she got even more qualified. She absolutely loves decorate tables and arrange everything in a very nice way... Private interests: dance and gymnastics, music, travelling, nature.
