GUESTS COMMENTS
Wendy
Thank you for a lovely ten days. We all enjoyed ourselves tremendously and thank you for your warm hospitality. The children are all back at school. Chad and I are leaving tomorrow for Wyoming where he'll have surgery on his knee. Hopefully he'll be fully recovered before race season starts up here. Keep in touch... maybe our boats will cross paths next year. Until then... we'll remember the beautiful harbors, snorkeling, mastering windsurfing, sailing and the wonderful meals.
Best wishes Wendy
The Brook's honeymoon
The crew was wonderfully prepared for us. The devoted just the right amount of time to us while still giving us the privacy that a honeymoon requires. The food Sandy cooked was absolutely wonder - it was amazing that she was able to prepare wonderful meals in that tiny kitchen!! It was amazing that so many foods we liked were seved when filled out such a vague preference form. Jacque was wonderful at his job and he really brought life and entertaiment at appropriate times to an otherwise wonderfully laid back boat. Gordon was the best. Only he could bring peace of mind about operation of the boat to my obsessive-complusive sailing husband. Thanks Gordo, our honeymoon was laid back and relaxed.
We have truly found new friends on board the Liberte. We are counting the days and pennies until we can go back!
Kirchoff Charter
I) How would you evaluate the Captain and chef of Liberte?
I truly cannot say enough good things about Gordon, Sandy, and Jacques. Gordon was extremely knowledgeable of the area, very low key, and ALWAYS pleasant. Sandy was a miracle – I still don’t know how she turned out such impeccable food from a galley kitchen. She fed us 20 meals or so and NOT ONE missed. All were delicious. And Jacques was a joy. Always attentive but not overly so, always there to help out, show Dave how to sail, show the kids how to skip rocks, whatever – I think he would have done ANYTHING we would have asked him to. I somehow have to get by without having a dark and stormy any time I want!
II) Was Liberte shipshape and comfortable?
The boat was great – always neat and clean.
III) Was the food appetizing and presented well?
See #1 but YES!
IV) Was all equipment onboard in good working order?
Yes – everything worked, fins and masks for everyone, 2 different intertubes, etc.
V) Did you enjoy your cruise itinerary?
Very much.
VI) Would you charter Liberte again?
Wouldn’t consider seeing the BVI with anyone else.
VII) Could anything make her a better charter yacht?
No. They have set the bar very high in that we loved traveling this way but would be afraid to charter another boat as I don’t think anyone else could meet their precedent.
VIII) Could we as the broker have been more helpful in planning your customized chartered getaway?
No. You were great – Thanks for following up to the degree that you did.
IX) May we use you as a future reference?
Please do. We are now hooked on boat charters!
If you wish to write a letter describing the vacation, we'll be happy to forward it to the crew and to our other clients considering this yacht for charter. – Will do so in the next week or so.
Great Trip!!
Hi Gordon
Thanks for a very nice mail. We all loved you, the food and the boat. If you want we can write comments on your website :)
Back in Sweden again after a long trip. The trip back went well and I got free from my cold the same day as we left from you. Seems as my body still works :)
We’ll all miss you guys and will keep in touch.

Thank you for a wonderful time aboard the
Many, many thank yous to you, James, and Mary for a wonderful time aboard the "Libby" as I see you call her! We were sorry to miss our tea with you on Saturday, but once again, the ferry schedule brought us up short, and we decided to take the one that left at 12:30pm. Thomas cried, and not for the first time, at the thought of not seeing you and James, as he had bought two gifts to bring you. We will ship them to an address if you have one where you get mail....
The Sugar Mill Hotel was beyond our wildest dreams, and I think I snapped photos of every corner of the place. We received a "free upgrade" to a "plantation suite" (#143 and 144), which were two private rooms in one building on the first level, right smack in front of the beach, with two private patios, an adjoining door, with huge bathrooms and a sitting area/desk/television/kitchenette to boot! The food was superlative, the chef is from St. Kitts, we were told. Thank you so much for the recommendation; it is truly a one-of-a-kind place.
I continued to feel the motion of the boat for a few days after we parted! We got back to St. Thomas and then passed through four airports to get back to Berkeley, California. Ice froze on the windshield this morning, but the sky is blue, and we still look brown.
We will read your newsletter with fond memories. All the best to you, Mary, and James for a happy new year and safe sailing!
Best wishes,
Amy
