Australia, though
far away from the main yacht charter destinations of the world,
has its own uniqueness in yacht charterting. Queensland is one
of the six states in Australia and probably most famous because
of its association with several major world heritage sites including
the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree National Park. Eastern
Queensland has a climate ranging from subtropical to tropical,
and it's a popular yacht charter destination and attraction.
Much of Queensland has a wet and dry season due to its latitude,
and this is more notable further north you travel. One of the
major tourist areas is the beach-based tourist resort just south
of Brisbane, known as the Gold Coast. South-east Queensland
is one of the fastest-growing areas of Australia.
Another popular Australian yacht charter destination is the
Whitsunday Islands. These islands consist of a group of 74 islands
that form part of the Great Barrier Reef. The islands are one
of the most popular Australian charter yacht destinations. Majority
of the Whitsunday Islands are designated national parks. For
yacht charter vacations they provide access to some great coral
reefs for snorkeling and diving, pristine beaches, especially
Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island and clear aquamarine warm
waters. They are well connected by two major airports on Hamilton
Island and the mainland town of Proserpine. |
